Workshop + Follow-Up- Learn, film and edit your own content with an extra half-day of practical learning.

A practical, hands-on programme that takes your team through the process of creating video from developing an idea and finding the right hook and style, through filming and editing, to creating a finished piece of content.

We start with an online preparation session to understand your team, explore ideas and look at what you want to create. This helps us make the practical workshop relevant to your people and the content you actually need.

Start with a strong idea

Before you start filming, we'll look at what makes people want to watch.

You'll learn how to develop ideas, find a strong hook and think about different styles of video for different audiences and platforms.

You'll then put those ideas into practice during the workshop, filming your own content to work with during the follow-up session.

Film with confidence

The workshop day is practical from the start.

You'll learn how to plan and film your content, working with the equipment you already have. We'll look at framing, sound, lighting and interviewing, as well as how to get the best from the people you're filming.

You'll also have the chance to practise presenting and filming yourself, depending on what your team needs.

The aim is to give you the skills and confidence to create the footage you need rather than just talk about how to do it.

Work alongside your team

The extra half-day gives you the chance to work with what you've filmed.

We'll build on the introduction to editing from the workshop and show you how to select your best material, structure your film and turn your footage into a finished piece of content.

You'll edit your own material with guidance and feedback as you work.

If editing isn't the priority, the half-day can instead focus on further filming, extra tuition or areas where your team would benefit from more practice.

The follow-up can also be delivered online if that's more practical for your team.

Put the whole process together

By working through the process from idea to finished film, you'll start to understand how each part connects.

You'll see how the idea and hook influence what you film, and how filming and editing work together to create the finished piece.

Most importantly, you'll have the experience of doing it yourself.

Support across a campaign

By the end of the programme, your team will have:

  • Greater confidence creating video
  • A better understanding of hooks and different content styles
  • Practical filming and storytelling skills
  • Experience creating their own footage
  • A better understanding of editing
  • Experience turning footage into a finished piece of content
  • The confidence to keep creating video themselves

Client Stories

Alex was incredible at helping our farmers gain confidence in their skills.

'The workshops that were delivered were first class. The team put the farmers at ease straight away and the material was delivered in a fun and engaging way. Many of our farmers were a bit nervous at the start to appear on camera, but Alex put them all totally at ease and was incredible at helping them all gain confidence in their skills since the course, many of them have gone on to produce their own material to help tell their stories, which is down to what they learnt on the course. It was a brilliant couple of day’s and I would totally recommend these courses to anyone"
